Dalbeg beach on the West Side of Lewis. The name comes from the Gaelic - Dail Beag, which means small valley. It is a favourite haunt of surfers later in the season, but we had the place completely to ourselves.
Simply stunning!
No need for words really.
No, it really doesn't need words, does it? Love that big chunk of rock in the first photo! Yes, the ocean and the beach are nice too, but ohhhh that rock! It looks like it was pretty wonderful and especially having it all to yourselves.
ReplyDelete(Thanks for the chicken. How much you want to bet tonight i have nightmares about glaring chickens. I mean look at it, it just has that mean glare like it just can't wait. . . . . .) LOL!
Stunning! We loved the Isle of Skye when we visited four years ago, really would love to go back up there and visit Lewis/Harris X
ReplyDeleteThat's my kind of beach, wild and isolated!
ReplyDeleteScotland is definately on my list of places to visit now! It was anyway, as we have some family up there, but maybe a bit sooner now I've seen your wonderful photos xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful beaches, love the seclusion. I once spent a lovely holiday not far away on Raasay, staying at Raasay house and enjoying the area and the activities there.

The water looks so clear-- I wish I could pop right into the photo---would love to hear the surf and feel the ocean breeze.
