Having a wonderful time with our beautiful guests - just about to make up a few sandwiches for a beach picnic. Gorgeous sunny days. Wish you were all here.
I wonder which beach. It is glorious here today too and we were discussing Lewis beaches over breakfast this morn. forgetting that Cornwall has some fabulous beaches too! Have a great picnic.
If I did jealousy I would be jealous. Glad you had a goodn time the weather has been good down here in Kent not that I am getting out my wife is not well so we are at home, STILL when she is better we will get out and about again. XXX DON
I would love to live in the sort of place that you do. It looks beautiful but I know that it is a harsh place in the winter, yet beautiful. I used to live in the Peak District.
Wondering though, whether approaching 70 (not for 3 years or so) is the wrong age to be living somewhere remote.
Hi Don - glad to hear from you, but sorry about your dear wife. Hope she is better very soon. x Campfire - Hello! John will be 65 next year, but don't tell anyone :). Lewis is not too remote. Yes it is a bit of a journey to get here, and in the Winter, the gales can be fierce etc, but we have everything we need. Stornoway is a decent sized town and there are the usual facilities. Community spirit is very strong here, and new folk are welcome. Feel free to email me any questions you have. xx
Many thanks for visiting me. I love to read your thoughts and appreciate each one. I will respond to comments and queries here, so please check back xx
