{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savour and remember.
I am happy to be joining in again with Soulemama this week. Have a cosy weekend. xxx
what a place to be a wee boy.
ReplyDeleteHe loves it LM - had just finished playing hide and seek with a wee friend we met.
DeleteLooks like a fun place to take shelter! Is it still cold there? Honestly, except for a day or two we really haven't had any cold weather here and I do miss it. Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi Tracey - it is cold this weekend - a bitter North wind and some snow flurries, but is has been generally mild this year. xx
DeleteThere's nothing like finding a quiet, beautiful place outdoors and letting the day drift past. I've been doing a similar thing myself this morning, it's great stress relief! Lovely photo. Have a great weekend. xxxxx

ReplyDeleteThat is an ace photo. I wonder what thoughts were going through his little head.
ReplyDeleteCan you tell us a little more about the history of the place, the stones?
Hippo - these are the Callanish Stones - they are thought to be 5000 years old - older than the pyramids! No real evidence on what is was for, but possibly some sort of lunar or solar significance aligned with the topgraphy of the surrounding hills. There is a link to the Callanish centre in my links page. x
DeleteIn staring at your photo of today, one of my books from my library popped in my head. Have you read, "Sea Room", by Adam Nicolson? If not, it might be a book you would enjoy. It is about life on a island in the outer Hebrides.
ReplyDeletemeggie - I haven't read that one - I know that he has a holiday home on one of the islands though xx
DeleteGorgeous. That is the atmosphere of Scotland that I remember - green and gray and always a little misty... Oh, you make me want to hop on a plane (and a ferry).
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome any time, Sophie. Yes, green and gray and blue from the sea - it is a beautiful palette xx
