Cleaning, shopping, cooking, making preparations, as we get ready for my sister and brother-in-law, who are visiting us at the croft for a few days. I'm really looking forward to seeing them. James even practiced his Hebridean welcome down at the harbour today. Hope you're all having a great weekend xxx

Hope you have a wonderful break together. Take care.
ReplyDeleteYou have certainly spurred me on. I have some friends coming down next weekend to our corner in West Wales from Lincolnshire , to give me a hand with some smallholding jobs. I have a massive glut of tomatoes to deal with and my working week gets in the way of the harvest madness that is Sept. Are those mussels in that photo? Lucky visitors - when we stayed with friends on their Mull Croft in the summer we shared a big carrier bag of fresh mussels which were £5. Ones that don't reach supermarket standard. The girls are still talking about them. Have a lovely time .. I love to have friends and family over and find it helps ease the grief . It would have been Davids 60TH birthday this week. I took the day off and my friend and I spent the morning planting bulbs in a garden we are planting for Davidthen celebrated with my girls and parents in our family favourite Italian restaurant. It is already a treasured memory. Alix

ReplyDeleteThat sounds very special, Ali. I'm glad you felt like that. I am going to plant a lot of daffodils next week, as John loved that time of year. The mussels were fantastic xxx
