Seven Days

Finding our feet again, after a lost week - trying not to plunge straight back in, but to ease ourselves back into the fray. During this past Seven Days, we have:

:: Blown away the cobwebs with a walk up the hill.

:: Watched calves dance in the twilight

:: Found signs of Spring already

:: Enjoyed our garden produce with every meal

::  Been to the Cinema

:: Planned, dreamt and been inspired

:: And  breathed the scent of  flowers.

Another Seven Days before us - I wish you joy in each one. xx

Lovely pics. (you were taking a chance taking pics in the cinema....you'll get thrown out for piracy! Lol!)
Hope your next seven days are lovely, xx

  4. I cannot believe you have stuff sprouting! Crazy! I haven't seen the movie as of yet, it might be when it hits the dvd stage for me. Take it easy as you get back into life, don't overdo it!

    1. I found these bulbs when I moved the wheelbarrow, which had been propped up against a tree, so they had green very sheltered.
It's a good film, but really 'epic' so the big screen would be better to see it on. x

  6. So glad you are all feeling better and getting about more. We are seeing many signs of spring here, which is crazy since it's still January. More than half my herb bed is still growing and yesterday I realized my tulip tree is in bloom....I wonder what this means for summer?
I must get Alex to the theater to see the Hobbit, he read all the books, several times, and I think he would like seeing the show.
    Have a lovely week.

    1. It's a good film, but there are some things not quite as the book. There is a lot of fighting in it, so we didn't take James. He has asked me to read the book, so we'll see how that goes xx

  8. My husband went and saw The Hobbit a couple of weeks ago and loved it.

I love all of your books! Seeing signs of spring would be a nice treat. We are covered over in a foot of snow.

  9. You live in such a gorgeous place...how do you ever get anything done? Did The Hobbit live up to all the hype?

  10. I hope you are feeling better, Jacqui. It has taken just over a month for me to have my first fully productive day, it takes a while. Loving your seven days. I am really feeling the need for spring and to get out and enjoy the garden. Our front garden is very much a cottage garden and does it's best in May and June.

  18. oh to see green fields and things growing again! each year at Brigid's day
( Imbolc) I am so envious of warmer places in the world that have visible signs of spring. We are waist deep in snow drifts and have at least two months worth of snow squalls and minus 25 degree days to get through first before our own signs of spring emerge.
Your photos were a lovely respite from our own wintery white.

  19. That first photo.. wow! I haven't seen the Hobbit yet. What did you think?

    1. Hobbit is ok. Lots of changes from the book, so if that would annoy you then maybe not. Daughter #1 was quote"raging" at the changes and hated it. Daughter #2 said around 60% was made up, but she enjoyed it anyway. i hadn't read it beforehand, but felt it was gratuitously violent. Lots of Orcs,(who dont appear in the book) and wolves with gnashing teeth and stuff. very dark and really made for the visual effects.
      xx
