Homeward bound

Heading home - away from the busy city, over the bridge again. Driving through the vibrant Autumn colours - watching the trees thin out as we speed North. Waiting on the shore for our ferry to arrive, and sailing off into a glorious sunset, guided home by a golden moon. 

Edinburgh

A few days in Edinburgh, catching up with family. Enjoying seeing my Mainland children and grandchildren. Playing in the trees and window shopping. Crossing the River Forth to the fertile land of Fife to visit John's aunt. So pleased to see her looking absolutely amazing at 91. 

All in all a great stopover. 

Marketing

Lots of delicious displays at Borough Market, just North of London Bridge. A perfect day out, taking in the sights, smells and tastes of the wonderful produce for sale, enjoying the busy lunchtime vibe of Applebee's Fish shop and restaurant, where James had his first taste of caviar.

This is our last night in the city. We have had a great time - such a change of scene for us - and surprisingly restful. 

Tomorrow we fly back to Edinburgh where we will spend a few more days with family. More postcards to follow.

In the Mean Time
