Finding our feet again, after a lost week - trying not to plunge straight back in, but to ease ourselves back into the fray. During this past Seven Days, we have:
:: Blown away the cobwebs with a walk up the hill.
:: Watched calves dance in the twilight
:: Found signs of Spring already
:: Enjoyed our garden produce with every meal
:: Been to the Cinema
:: Planned, dreamt and been inspired
:: And breathed the scent of flowers.
Another Seven Days before us - I wish you joy in each one. xx
Lovely pics. (you were taking a chance taking pics in the cinema....you'll get thrown out for piracy! Lol!)
ReplyDeleteHope your next seven days are lovely, xx
Lol, Tina - I know! I once did inadvertently see a bit of pirate film which was taken in the cinema with all the heads moving about and people getting up :) I thought I would be ok just taking the title shot - shhh
DeleteYou have made me feel better about Monday already! So for that many thanks. You have a bright and happy week, Jo xx
ReplyDeleteThat's lovely, Jo - have a great week xx
DeleteOh the green shoots of spring what a wonderful find, blessings to you hope you are all restored to good health soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you :) it is such a buzz to see Spring on the way x
DeleteI cannot believe you have stuff sprouting! Crazy! I haven't seen the movie as of yet, it might be when it hits the dvd stage for me. Take it easy as you get back into life, don't overdo it!
ReplyDeleteI found these bulbs when I moved the wheelbarrow, which had been propped up against a tree, so they had green very sheltered.
DeleteIt's a good film, but really 'epic' so the big screen would be better to see it on. x
so beautiful jacqui, what a week. i LOVED the hobbit and i have tashas book too. and oh how i would love to take that walk. blessings for the week ahead.
ReplyDeleteI am so inspired by the Tasha book - it is just how I want my garden to be xx
DeleteSo glad you are all feeling better and getting about more. We are seeing many signs of spring here, which is crazy since it's still January. More than half my herb bed is still growing and yesterday I realized my tulip tree is in bloom....I wonder what this means for summer?
ReplyDeleteI must get Alex to the theater to see the Hobbit, he read all the books, several times, and I think he would like seeing the show.
Have a lovely week.
It's a good film, but there are some things not quite as the book. There is a lot of fighting in it, so we didn't take James. He has asked me to read the book, so we'll see how that goes xx
DeleteI just started reading the hobbit with my oldest son. I am not sure he is ready for the film either. What great gardening inspiration
ReplyDeleteMy husband went and saw The Hobbit a couple of weeks ago and loved it.
ReplyDeleteI love all of your books! Seeing signs of spring would be a nice treat. We are covered over in a foot of snow.
You live in such a gorgeous place...how do you ever get anything done? Did The Hobbit live up to all the hype?
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better, Jacqui. It has taken just over a month for me to have my first fully productive day, it takes a while. Loving your seven days. I am really feeling the need for spring and to get out and enjoy the garden. Our front garden is very much a cottage garden and does it's best in May and June.
ReplyDeleteForever enchanted by the landscape you call home. And what promise of spring! Much love X
ReplyDeleteWonderful...
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to watching the Hobbit, as it is my favourite book ever!
Much love to you.x
I am so glad you're back on your feet. Sadly, we've fallen sick and it is amazing how fast the piles grow.
ReplyDeletewhat fantastic photos! love the first one especially but i also like the flowers coming out and the bulbs peeking through .... all of them bring hope for spring. i hope you enjoyed the Hobbit. i saw it at Christmas with my family and we liked it although there were a few too many orcs for my liking. ;)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing The Hobbit!
ReplyDeleteThe garden fresh goodness reminds me of years back of winter carrots and around here they are the favorites! Those book are wonderful to have on hand!
ReplyDeleteHugs - and looking forward to spring too..
Inspired by your good self, I also dug carrots and tatties up from my veg patch.
ReplyDeleteThe weathers been super fierce, hope you kept safe and warm.
Thanks for inpspiring my own seven days!
Love to all the family
oh to see green fields and things growing again! each year at Brigid's day
ReplyDelete( Imbolc) I am so envious of warmer places in the world that have visible signs of spring. We are waist deep in snow drifts and have at least two months worth of snow squalls and minus 25 degree days to get through first before our own signs of spring emerge.
Your photos were a lovely respite from our own wintery white.
That first photo.. wow! I haven't seen the Hobbit yet. What did you think?
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Debbie
Hobbit is ok. Lots of changes from the book, so if that would annoy you then maybe not. Daughter #1 was quote"raging" at the changes and hated it. Daughter #2 said around 60% was made up, but she enjoyed it anyway. i hadn't read it beforehand, but felt it was gratuitously violent. Lots of Orcs,(who dont appear in the book) and wolves with gnashing teeth and stuff. very dark and really made for the visual effects.
Deletexx
Been thinking of you with ese high seas and dreadful gales. I hope you're all well. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for this seven days wishes I hope they will be better than the last seven.Hope you have a good week . I love the veggies I wish I could get out into our garden but steps and wheel chairs dont mix. Don
