Hi - No - these are the Callanish Stones, on the Isle of Lewis, off the North west coast of Scotland. They are older than Stonehenge - older than the Pyramids too. x
I'm bringing my daughters to Scotland to meet the family this spring (their first trip--eek, they're so excited!) and am REALLY hoping we make it to Lewis so we can have a wander and they can see these stones. I've still never been there myself!
You've been to the Callanish Stones again, perhaps!! lovely atmospheric stuff. Hopefully not to windy today....but some cold weather coming in, I fear!
How beautiful! Thanks for sharing this picture, I hadn't heard of the Callanish Stones before, must be a fascinating area to explore! Have a wonderful weekend! :)
This image looks amazing when it pops up on peoples blog reading lists (I hope that makes sense) Happy weekending to you and I hope James is feeling better soon.
Wrong. Darn this fallen world... I hate sick. So sorry you're suffering. I just sent up a prayer for you and I'll do so throughout the day. My Audrey will be the reminder. She went to bed with a headache and the promise of an ear infection last night. Darn sickness.
Many thanks for visiting me. I love to read your thoughts and appreciate each one. I will respond to comments and queries here, so please check back xx
Lovely beautiful magical place!
ReplyDeleteStonehenge? Or, a nearby replica? Fantastic!

ReplyDeleteAmazing! Love the texture in the forefront of the picture and the colours - wish I were able to paint something like this.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!! I also loved the photo in your last post, the one with the flying birds. And your banner... outstanding!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, Wish that I lived near, i'd bring a pot of chicken soup and crackers, nothing seems to heal like that. Get well soon!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you are ill, Oscar and I have it too boo-hoo. Hopefully we will all be right as rain in a day or two :)
