I knew at the beginning of the year that I wanted to let go of the blog. I am in a different place now and I need the space to work through a great many things. I intend to keep the archives up for a time, although I have removed the comment function.
If you have landed here - welcome and feel free to dip in to what was our life - once upon a time...

Sunday Gratitudes

Days are flying by so fast just now - such a lot going on and it is hard to find the time to come here. Yet it is important to look back and count my blessings and give thanks for them. We are surrounded by God's blessings - they are everywhere, although sometimes we don't appreciate them as they merge into the everyday. The Bible tells us that God's mercies are "new every morning" (Lamentations 3:22,23) - such a wonderful confirmation of God's abundant love for us. Tonight, as I look back over recent days, I am grateful for:

The beauty of Creation
The love of family
Good food on the table
Clothes to wear, and new skills learned
Working on the land
The fellowship of community
Times of fun and relaxation

I wish you all of God's blessings as we begin another week.

  1. Beautiful pictures and so many blessings.

  2. Thank your for the encouragement you send out to your readers. May God's blessings continue to abound for you in this upcoming week.

  3. Did you make that dress, Jacqui? I am looking to sew something similar to wear on the allotment - have decided it would be more practical than jeans (more ease of movement!!)
