Sunday Gratitudes

Days are flying by so fast just now - such a lot going on and it is hard to find the time to come here. Yet it is important to look back and count my blessings and give thanks for them. We are surrounded by God's blessings - they are everywhere, although sometimes we don't appreciate them as they merge into the everyday. The Bible tells us that God's mercies are "new every morning" (Lamentations 3:22,23) - such a wonderful confirmation of God's abundant love for us. Tonight, as I look back over recent days, I am grateful for:

The beauty of Creation
The love of family
Good food on the table
Clothes to wear, and new skills learned
Working on the land
The fellowship of community
Times of fun and relaxation

I wish you all of God's blessings as we begin another week.

Did you make that dress, Jacqui? I am looking to sew something similar to wear on the allotment - have decided it would be more practical than jeans (more ease of movement!!)

  14. I have read your blog tonight for the first time and I think I shall become a fan - it,s lovely. I appreciate your Christian beliefs too they are a blessing. I love Scotland and the Scottish people having stayed at Achnaha at the Old Dairy. Can,t go now as am 88years and my lovely husband left me to go to heaven 12yrs ago. But I have happy memories to treasure. Three things have impressed me as well 1. I was considering buyin g a pair of crocs for the house. 2. I have done a bit of crocheting in my time - might get it out again now, and. 3. Sewing must do. Do you watch the "Great British Sewing bee" on Tuesday evenings at 8.p.m. It,s good.
