Dear Jacqui We have never met, but wanted to say that I was so sorry to hear your sad news. Thinking of you and all of yours at this difficult time. Helen
So sorry to hear that your husband John has died. I lost my husband and Dad to our young daughters last October to a rare illness and although hard, the love and support you so clearly have around you, as I am also lucky to have, is such a comfort. I live in Wales and have been to Lewis and some of the other lovely Scottish Isles with my family. I live in Wales and my other big comfort as I grapple to come to terms with our loss is living in a lovey western landscape. I hope the nature and beautiful landscape that you have shared with John will help you. So sorry. Ali x
Oh my! I am so sorry to hear this. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and dear little boy. Job 14:14 and 15, Revelation 21: 3 and 4. Christy

Words are so inadequate at a time like this but are all we have to express our sympathy, care and love for you and your family. May you know God's peace and love as you go through this loss of a dearly loved one. God bless
Words do not suffice at this heart-breaking loss. My sincere thoughts and prayers are with you and your beautiful son. God Rest your dearly beloved's soul, now free from his pain. God Bless. ~Jo
I am so sorry for your loss Jacqui. Thinking of you and your family at such a sad and difficult time. May you feel comforted by your loved ones and know that you are being held close by all those that hold you dear. May God Bless you all. Lisa xx
I am sorry to read this tonight, and hold you and your family in my prayers and thoughts. My husband died last July, and there are no words to express how much I miss him still. Sending you much love at this time, and praying for peace for you all xx
Please, let the people around you love you and take care of things. Attend your own pain. It is enough.
You may be tempted to take on your young son's pain too. Love and hold him, but his pain is his, and you cannot know and hold it for him, just like we cannot know or hold yours for you.
No one can know how you feel, though as yesterday was the first anniversary of my Dad's death from cancer, I do have an idea.
I have no words to bring you comfort, only tears for you and James. Jesus can only give the comfort and peace sufficient for you right now, until you and John meet again. I'm sending my love and prayers. xx
I'm so sorry, Jacqui. Here is a beautiful Caim prayer (from Celtic Daily Prayer). I pray that it circles you and James in comfort right now: This night and every night seems infinite with questions, and sleep as elusive as answers. Pain and longing are always present, dulled only a little by the distractions of day. I am weary; I am angry. I am confused. Circle me, Lord. Keep despair and disillusion without. Bring a glimmer of hope within. Circle me, Lord; keep nightmare without. Bring moments of rest within. Circle me, Lord; keep bitterness without. bring an occasional sense of Your presence within.
So terribly sorry for your losing your dearest. So many prayers by so many people that you have touched will be asking for you to receive the peace and comfort that you all need.
So so sorry to hear your news. Sending you all my very best wishes and love. Your words have been so powerful and truly express the love and faith with which you are surrounded.x
I am so sorry. I could hardly read your post when I saw the photo of a ring. I am very sorry - my condolences to you, your son and your family. Jean in Canada.

Jacqui, you and your son are in my thoughts and prayers. I've followed you for awhile and watched your love for each other grow and encircle your son. I've prayed for the end to John's disease wasting his body - taking him away from you both. He now walks beside you always, his love envelops the two of you when you need it and brings memories of happy and healthy times together.
My heart is broken for you and James and the rest of your family. I've been in your shoes, Jacqui. It's been ten years but all the familiar feelings come rushing back when I read this. I am sending you a hug. One day at a time, you will get thru this. You are so blessed to have such a loving community that surrounds you. The outpouring of love just from your blog alone is incredible. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and James and the rest of your family. May you rest in peace, John. xoxoxoxo
