and looking forward to another week.
Summer is such a busy time, and so much is going on that I want to hold on to. Each Sunday I am posting a list of things I have loved in the past week. Those ordinary but special things that might have gone unnoticed or forgotten Trying to distill the love and joy from this hectic Summer season to remember with gratitude and warmth when the days are short again.
you catch the wonderful summer light so well. it's kind of a hazy, warm, relaxed feel with muted colors. sort of a blending of days that run into a season. beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour first picture makes me want to pack and move to Scotland! Happy Summer.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. The first almost looks like a painting!
ReplyDeleteYour little guy on the path...that's a keeper. Frame it in your heart, if not on your wall. These days are gone too soon. Lovely pics. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThose photos are so gorgeous, especially that first one. Timeless!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful week! Thanks for sharing the beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely week!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos, and what a beautiful way to remember the week, I might try it myself :)

I just love the way you have manipulated that first photo; sums it all up. I too keep a journal of activities, thoughts and feelings ('Morning Pages'); it used to be daily but now I don't have the time, but at least once a week now. Over the years, these jottings have become a perfect record of what we do, and don't do.
ReplyDeleteI think of you frequently, last night as we sat in the garden until almost ten pm and I wondered when it got dark with you. Here's to Summer happiness.
What beautiful photos especially that first one. What a lovely part of the world you live in !
ReplyDeleteHi - thank you all. I so enjoy looking at the camera roll each Sunday and seeing images of our week - things that wouldn't otherwise reach the blog, but that I want to share. It is a lovely way to reflect and look forward.
ReplyDeleteAnn - I don't manipulate the pictures at all. It was an old style lens app. I am getting more interested in using old film, so who knows what effects you might see! And it is not really getting dark here at all - dim more than dark.
We are really appreciating it - thanks for your thoughts. Xx
I love your Sunday specials. Pics are divine as usual

Very beautiful! You're so right to capture the joys of this particular summer. I think you've had the best of the weather this week on the West Coast. It's been very dreich here in Aberdeen.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're thinking about using film Jacqui - still can't be beaten in my view.
ReplyDeleteGetting it processed however (especially E6) is another matter...

ReplyDeleteI particularly love the first photo, it is like a painting, really want to visit the islands x

ReplyDeleteSo glad I've come across your blog. I will get down to reading it properly over the next couple of days. I live in Shetland, so not that far away!
